‘This is about Culture Not Colour’! Eku Edewor & Team Respond to Criticism of ‘Heritage’ Shoot

Media personality Eku Edewor was in an editorial for ThisDay Style with Lynxxx where the magazine tried to depict cultural behaviors for the ‘Heritage’ themed shoot (click here if you missed it)

The outcome however was not what the expected as people pointed out slavery themes in the images.

Eku Edewor has responded to the criticism with a few tweets in a bid to explain the true intent of the editorial shoot.

An image depicts younger members of society helping a young bride as she walks the short distance to her new home.

They carry small cases, some are relatives, wrapped in newly printed fabric to represent the brides family.
