Roma Lagos, Veuve treat Idia Aisien, Afua Osei, Akah Nnani to a Seafood Boil & Champagne Feast
On Sunday, February 3rd, 2019, Roma Lagos, the first ever Roman-inspired luxury restaurant/lounge in Lagos, located at 31A Admiralty Way, Lekki Phase I, hosted its maiden edition of ‘The Feast at Roma’ and it was indeed, “a feast-feast!” Roma’s exquisite kitchen treated the likes of Adebayo Oke Lawal, Aduke Bey, Idia Aisien, Prince Noble, Steve Chuks, Akah Nnani, and many more fabulous guests to some grand platters. Let’s take a look:
The remarkable menu consisted of a seafood boil, a carnivorous platter, a mixed platter, and a cheese and cold cuts platter that was not just the ultimate feast for the eyes because of its beautiful presentation, but also, the ultimate feast for the stomach. Bringing a particular sweetness to the table was French luxury champagne brand, Veuve Clicquot, who partnered with Roma to organize this exclusive event to further elevate the Roma experience.
The dishes were carefully curated for the feast and had deep and complex flavors that wowed the guests’ palettes but the shining star of the day was the seafood boil. In a city as diverse as Lagos, it is surprising that it is almost impossible to find a decent seafood boil, and every foodie knows that a seafood boil is one of the great communal eating experiences ever. Whether you’ve had a bad day or whether you’ve had an absolutely brilliant day, coming together with your loved ones to sit and eat some darn good salt potatoes with sweet corn, shrimp and various kinds of cajun-spiced shellfish will always make your day that more special. So if you’ve been looking for the tastiest, well-done seafood boil in Lagos, head on to Roma. We’re elevating our eating style in 2019, yes ma’am!
The Feast at Roma had guests chittering and chattering away as they shared meals, Veuve Clicquot champagne, laughter, and good vibes. While they ate, they were serenaded by saxophonists that covered everything from classic jazz to new-age hip hop. DJ Venum also provided the guests with excellent music that had the guests grooving way into the night as they also enjoyed some cool and high-quality shisha flavors The entire ambiance, food, service, etc., provided quite the idyllic Sunday. This is how Roma makes things sweet and heated.
Along with Victoria Island and Ikoyi, Lekki has become a bittersweet agglomeration of residence and business and consequently, a major hub for nightlife. There’s no scarcity of options when it comes to lounges, bars, clubs as well as, restaurants, thus, creating the desire to find something that is not only premium and exclusive but also, all-encompassing of the various experiences one has when one chooses to go to either a bar, a club, or restaurant. ROMA Lagos is this all-encompassing place and we’re so glad we found it!
