Catch Kanu Nwankwo, Samson Siasia, Daniel Amokachi live in Action at the #PVCFootball Novelty Match | February 9th
Super Eagles 1994 and 2013 AFCON Squad are set to play for the Tap iNitiative PVC Football Novelty Match at the Legacy stadium, inside National Stadium Surulere, Lagos on Saturday, February 9th, 2019 in partnership with OSIWA.
Date: Saturday, February 9th, 2019
Time: 2 pm to 4 pm
Venue: National Stadium Surulere, Lagos
Through the PVC Novelty match, Tap iNitiative aims to use select AFCON football stars from the 1994 and 2013 teams including Kanu Nwankwo, Victor Ikpeba, Samson Siasia, Mutiu Adepoju, Uche Okechukwu, Alloysius Agu, Joseph Yobo to mobilize young people to get their PVC and choose the right leader.
According to the Executive Director of Tap iNitiative, Mbasekei Martin Obono, Esq. “Young people between the ages of 15 and 35 constitute one-third of Africa’s population. However, the youth’s influence on national politics remains limited. There is a general sense that traditional politics and representative democracy—whereby voters determine the outcome of power struggles at the ballot box—fail to attract the attention of younger cohorts who feel alienated from political processes.” While the #PVCFootball match is free, spectators will be required to show their PVCs to gain entrance into the stadium.
