#BellaNaijaWCW Chiamaka Ndukwu Theresa of AgroHive is the Entrepreneur Providing Farmers with Skilled Agricultural Personnel

We’re totally loving the innovation in the agricultural space in recent times and today, we’re celebrating one of the young individuals who are thriving in the game.

For agricultural business to grow appropriate personnel must be the drivers of that growth, and that’s what our #BellaNaijaMCM this week Chiamaka Ndukwu Theresa is offering.

She’s the co-founder of AgroHive, an agritech company that provides agricultural businesses and farmers with appropriately trained personnel – from farm managers, attendants, IT experts to interns – that meet their labour and skill needs.

The platform aims to boost rural smallholder farmers’ productivity by giving them access to advanced agricultural extension services, access to improved farm inputs, and agricultural technologies.

What Chiamaka and her team do is to recruit, train, outsource and regularly upgrade staff skills with the goal of helping the agricultural businesses increase productivity and profit.

AgroHive also organises agricultural advocacy and sensitisation activities.

Through AgroHive’s work, over 1,800 underserved youths and women in rural communities have been trained to participate actively in agriculture. It has established 123 community demonstration farms and also trained rural farmers, women, youths, and children in communities across Ekiti, Abeokuta, Lagos and Oyo states.

We celebrate Chiamaka for her contribution to agriculture in Nigeria, for improving the lives of individuals and families in underserved communities and for her work in ensuring food security in Africa’s most populous country and we’re rooting for her!
