Two British-Nigerian Sisters Talk being Mixed-race in London | WATCH
The BBC interviewed sisters, Monifa, 13 and Naima, 10 who both live in London. The two are mixed-race, born to an English mother and Nigerian father.
Monifa and Naima discuss what it is like for them being mixed-race children both in South Africa (where they were born) and London. The two sisters seem to connect more with London because they found more people who looked like them.
The high number of mixed-children in London means the sisters are not outliers in their community. They have aspirations and what they want to be like. In the documentary, they talk about what makes them proud of their heritage.
