On Wednesday the 24th of September, 2014 the Bestman Games team hosted a private screening of Being Mrs. Elliot, a movie starring and produced by Omoni Oboli at Silverbird Cinemas, Victoria Island.

Bestman Games is the African Distributor of customised editions of Monopoly, the world famous board game owned by Hasbro. The City of Lagos Edition was launched in December 2012. Subsequently the Nigerian Centenary Edition was launched in February 2014.

The City of Lagos Edition of Monopoly which was sponsored by leading financial institutions including First Bank of Nigeria, GTBank, Mansard Insurance and FSDH, featured in the movie. The delightful evening was attended by friends and associates of Bestman Games and representatives from sponsors, business and the media partners.

Omoni Oboli commented, “The cinema halls are usually animated during my movie because there is never a dull moment; there is just so much going on that people can’t stop chatting about the many themes and messages the movie seems to generate. I am so pleased that many people come out claiming that it is one of the best and most entertaining Nollywood movies they have seen in the cinemas! This private screening was particularly special especially with the excitement from the audience when the Monopoly City of Lagos edition was shown in a scene. It was a nice touch.”

Commenting on the movie, Nimi Akinkugbe, CEO Bestman Games said;
“I am very excited about the growth, impact and reach of the Nigerian movie industry. When Omoni briefed me about the story line, there was such a good fit to place the City of Lagos Edition of Monopoly in it as a perfect gift from a father to his children. The family is the bedrock of society and our mission is to bring back good old family values by getting families playing together and relating face to face to deepen relationships whilst they learn valuable lessons at the same time.

I enjoyed Being Mrs Elliott immensely and would highly recommend it. There were so many facets to it that will resonate with everyone. Children and family, the importance of the extended family, romance, bereavement, intrigue, comedy. I was struck by the sheer physical beauty of our country and the fact that life is not all about the fast paced city life – there is so much charm in rural Nigeria. I can’t wait to visit Ikogosi Springs which is featured on the Nigeria Centenary Edition of Monopoly. I think Omoni has done an outstanding job.”
