Aquafina supports “Beauty from Within” at Elite Model Look Nigeria 2014!
The Aquafina Elite Model Look Nigeria 2014 contest came to a glamorous end on Saturday 6th September 2014 in Lagos, with Victor Ndigwe and Mayowa Nicholas emerging as winners of the prestigious modelling showpiece. If you missed all the Fab red carpet Photos Click Here.
It was a night of style, fashion and high octane entertainment as the male and female contestants dazzled in different outfits by top class local and international designers. Some of the designers included Sanusi Lagos, Grey, TZar, Andrea Iyamah, Agbani Darego, Sisiano, Mimi Lee London among others.
The event was a hub for entertainment as it attracted celebrities from all walks of life as Genevieve Nnaji, Peter Okoye of “P-Square”, DJ Sose and Rasaq & Shade Okoya graced the event. Yemi Alade, Praiz, Chidinma, Trafic, Ruby Gyang and Robot Man were the acts that thrilled the massive crowd that filled the large hall.
Speaking to the media, the Sunil Sawhney (Managing Director of Seven Up Bottling Company) said: “This is the second year that Aquafina is getting associated with Elite Model Look Nigeria because we believe that beauty comes from within. If you are talking of real beauty it is from within and what better table water product than Aquafina, to be the premium table water brand which talks of purity guaranteed and therein lies Aquafina.”
The female winner, Mayowa, shedding tears of joy said “This is the happiest moment of my life, I feel so great. The journey to winning this contest was very challenging but it was fun because I learnt a lot; how to smile, pose but when I heard my name I didn’t believe it at first. I thank Aquafina for this opportunity, believe me, you don’t know what winning the Aquafina Elite Model Look Nigeria contest means to me.”
Mayowa’s male counterpart, Victor Ndigwe, commended Aquafina for giving him a new story in life. “Take it from me, Aquafina is purity guaranteed and the brand together with Elite Model Look proved that true beauty is indeed from within. It wasn’t easy, from thousands to 20 contestants, I couldn’t hold back my tears even as a man because the joy was too great to suppress.”
The winners won for themselves $5,000 and will represent Nigeria in the global edition of the contest with the chance of winning $150,000. The team of judges for the event comprised of well known fashion personalities such as Agabani Darego, Taofeek Okoya, Kelechi Amadi-Obi, Declan Eytan, Lola Maja, Bola Balogun and the Senior Marketing Manager of PepsiCo International, Shakeel Akram.
