Hello Ms. Glowing! Top Designer Lanre DaSilva Ajayi covers TW Magazine’s 2013 Fashion Issue

Lifestyle publication TW Magazine is out with its “Fashion Issue” for November 2013.

And for the cover feature, the team went for the creative director of iconic Nigerian design label Lanre DaSilva Ajayi.

Lanre who is changing the fashion game both locally and internationally one stitch at a time, is glowing on the cover in a pretty dress by her eponymous label.

She speaks candidly about her brand, exploring new markets with a diffusion and ready to wear line, the internet effect, mentoring young designers and being one of a handful of select labels stocked at the Dolce & Gabbana-owned Spiga2 Concept Store in Milan, Italy.

For the editorial spread, we are presented with a beautiful close-up shot of the designer who looks alluring in her blue LDA frock.

Grammy award winning singer Angelique Kidjo is the TW Personality of the month. The energetic Béninoise chart topper who now resides in New York, opens up about staying grounded with a hugely successful career spanning three decades, being fit at 53, family and being Africa’s premier diva.

Ohimai Atafo of menswear and womenswear brand Mai Atafo Inspired sits down with TW and talks about his transition from the corporate world to the runway.

Also in the fashion issue, the TW team unveils and celebrates 5 women who are known for their less obvious work behind the scenes in the fashion industry. They include Ayo Van Elmar (Fashion Designer), Adeyinka Fowora (Textile Merchant), Sandra Itu (Stylist), Ono Bello (Online Media & PR) and Kemi Ogunleye (Media Practitioner).
