To kick off its first viewing for the year 2012, Reel Life Club at the Life House presents the critically acclaimed 2006 German Drama set in East Berlin of 1984 – “The Lives of Others’. The movie which was nominated for numerous awards – The Academy awards, Deutscher Filmpreis award and the Golden Globe awards was written and directed by FlorianHenckel von Donnersmarck and centers around an agent of the secret police, who while conducting surveillance on a writer and his lover, finds himself gradually but increasingly being sucked into their lives.
