A Timeless Love: Ngozi Ekezie & Wale Akintujoye Wed
On the 22nd of May 2010, Ngozi Ekezie and Wale Akintujoye started their lifelong journey as one – the couple were joined in holy matrimony at the All Souls Anglican Church, Lekki Phase I, Lagos.
Ngozi and Wale’s love story began after they met through a mutual friend and was elevated to the next level after a romantic surprise proposal by Wale. The couple celebrated their traditional wedding at the bride’s family house and it was a joyous occasion for all as the bride glowed throughout the day as she changed from her Igbo attire to embrace her new culture in a beautiful orange and brown iro and buba while the groom proudly received his wine from his bride during the Igba Nkwu Nwanyi ceremony.
All this led to their wedding day and it was indeed a special and beautiful ceremony for the couple as their union was blessed and solemnized in the presence of their families and close friends.
The bride, Ngozi was beautiful in her Victorian-era inspired gown by Kosibah. With its dramatic rushed train, delicate lace sleeves and corseted bodice, it was a showstopping dress for a stunning bride. Her veiled feather-adorned hat and bedazzled bouquet of red roses completed her bridal look. The groom, Wale was the perfect handsome companion to his beautiful wife in a classic blue suit paired with a print tie and a white boutonniere.
After their wedding ceremony, the couple proceeded to their reception at the Civic Centre in Victoria Island, Lagos and simply put, they stepped into new era. Their reception venue was transformed into a Victorian dream. From the unique arched pathway to the vintage umbrellas – it was beautiful. The couple then proceeded to enjoy their special day with their close friends and family. A splendid and romantic day for a special couple.
BN wishes Ngozi & Wale a blessed and happy life together. May each day be filled with joy, laughter, happiness and prosperity.
