Are Certain Hairstyles Exclusive to Specific Races? 14-Year-Old Girl Receives Backlash for Wearing Box Braids
The issue of racism is without a doubt one of the biggest issues facing us today; but one has to ask if the racism card is pulled out too quick in some cases.
A few days ago 14-year-old Mallory Merk decided to try something new with her hair – blonde box braids. After sharing a few photos with her Twitter followers, she was met with criticism and harsh remarks from the ‘black community’ on how her hairstyle is inappropriate and offensive to black people.
