Idris Elba, Whoopi Goldberg, Alicia Keys & More Celebrities Launch #CrushEbolaNow Campaign
A new Public Service Announcement addressing the Ebola outbreak has premiered on CNN.
The video is star-studded with on-screen cameos from movie star Idris Elba, former UK prime minister Tony Blair, supermodel Naomi Campbell, soul singer Alicia Keys, basketball icon Dikembe Mutombo and several others.
The campaign comes with the hashtag and catchphrase #CrushEbolaNow.
The video also features a number of West Africans who can be said to have had a firsthand encounter with the virus such as Liberian Nobel peace laureate Leymah Gbowee and Ebola survivors.
Actor Jeffrey Wright is the brains behind the campaign and producer of the spot and is there to candidly spell out the campaign’s aims with CNN’s Isha Sesay.
