Nigerian artist and photographer Lakin Ogunbanwo will light up South Africa with his solo art exhibition tagged “Portraits”. The event kicked off on Wednesday 20th November 2013. In “Portraits”, Lakin Ogunbanwo constructs singular images, reconfiguring the human figure and challenging some preconceived ideas of portraiture, of Lagosians, of Nigerians, of Africans. Tagged #FashionFusion2013, Woodin Fashion Fusion 2013 is a youth empowerment initiative that has been created to target and empower aspiring young designers who have found their passion for fashion and ventured into the fashion industry. The event will feature young Nigerian designers showcasing their creative pieces. They will be judged by Ejiro Amos Tafiri, Zizi Cardow, Adebayo Oke-Lawal, Uche Nnaji and Lanre DaSilva Ajayi. The best designer will win N 250,000 while the best model will win N 50,000.
