It is that time again, BN Red Carpet Fab time! Yay!
So we were on the scene at the Elite Model Look Nigeria 2009 finale and you don’t need us to tell you that the fashion show off the runway was even more frenzied. See photos below
STANDOUT Looks – The Belles of the Ball
It was her event afterall so Beth Models CEO - Elohor Isiohor pulled out all the stops in her gold dress with the dramatic plunging back
Gene did good in this knee length ankara dress from her St. Genevieve line. The long locks and the poppin' red lips seal it off perfectly
We debated this look for a while but we decided to give it a thumbs up. Love the fact that she is celebrating her curves in this metallic tulip dress
COLLECTION to Red Carpet
We really love the fact that more ladies are embracing runway looks from our designers. Its hard to look hotter than the runway model but she does it in this Jewel by Lisa dress from their Spring Collection shown at ARISE FW in Joburg
Phunk Afrique's profile keeps rising as they seem to be picking up red carpet mileage. This strapless layered dress is a cute choice
CELEB Inspired
We spotted the celeb inspirations straight away when we saw Yvonne Nwosu on the red carpet in this hooded black outfit complete with bold pink lips and shoes
The 'strong shoulder' is HOT on the catwalks and on the international celeb scene courtesy of Balmain. Not many are bold enough to attempt this but she pulls it off pretty well
RED CARPET Fab
The prospective Elite models rocked Ituen Basi on the runway and off the ramp, there was plenty of Ituen Basi sightings from her Ankara & Beads collection. Hot!
Coral seemed to be the colour of night - there is something incredibly sweet about this sherbet-hued colour
Yup, there were a few lads on the scene
Red is not for the fainthearted
These ladies went for the soft and romantic looks in floaty maxis and minis
The monochromatic colour palette is a failsafe option
We are seeing more of this on the red carpet - Nigerian ladies exploring the rock chic inspired looks. Bold and poppin'
If you read BN often, you will know about our love affair with 'the shift'. It is a perfect option for a Nigerian night out. The right balance of dressy and casual
Denim divas
LBDs with poppin accessories - red, purple and then black - we see those hot Jimmy Choos on the far right
Black accented with colour
Blue is so hot this season and these ladies show off a bunch of hot blue shades
More bursts of colour
We are seeing more and more jumpsuits/playsuits/rompers out and about in Lagos. It is not for everyone but marks for trying
These ladies went more formal than most with the sweeping gowns
And we close off with more lads! The End..
